Take a look at our help guide at http://www.computerhilfen.com/tech/tip-dvd-player-has-disappeared.html if your CD / DVD Drive is not listed anymore or your PC comes up with the following error: “HL-DT-ST DVDRAM gsa-T20N ATA Device – Cannot load the device driver for this hardware – the driver is missing (code39)” and you cannot access you DVD or CD drive anymore!

    I had also only upper filter, but it worked 4 me w d Vista.

    I only have upper …
    I only have upper filter and no lower filter, I reset upper filter to 0 but it did nothing, I know the problem is the fault of windows vista service pack 1 because it did this before and I fixed it using this method but it doesn’t work now
