next time you see …
next time you see Mike, tell him the punk scene in London was ok, but the East Village in NY is the place to be. That is where punk lives. Mike always used to dream about flying over to London and hanging out.. it was half of what he always talked about back in the day. He didn’t miss much by not going.. the East Village. now that is the place to own an apartment, I bought one just for a hotel room when I am in town. but I hate public hotels and sharing beds with who knows what the night before

you know. I mastered skating, billiards, basketball, business and economics. When I skated Danny Way would let me know when he was coming into town, in Billiards I won tournaments, and as an economist, I speak with governments and boards of fortune 500 companies.. a 19 year old from SA saying I get no respect is laughable… Seeing Mike still the same loser in the same place has been great.. thank you for confirming that was him.. all the hair left me not sure, but now I know.. IT IS HIM !!!
my only regret was …
my only regret was Mike wasn’t there when I pulled out a McTwist out on the bowl at the SA skatepark… Everytime I mastered a trick he would say something negative… in a sense Mike drove me to learn new tricks so I could see how bent out of shape he would get knowing he could never do it himself… I should have never let everybody else talk me into letting him ride along… someone would always call me up and I would go to get them and sure enough Mike ws there with them ready to ride along.

let me tell you about Scrotum.. for 2 years after I left SA, my friends were calling me up telling about how Mike was snitching me out and talking smack… All I ever did was let him ride in my car, but he was so jealous of me, he hated on me for years.. Jealous that I got the limelight for my skills. His women all wanted me. I skated with pros and he took pictures. I went on to be a economist after I peaked, he stayed the same. I doubt anyone pays him to do any picture taking.

as for his love of skateboarding… he never even used to skate when we went out and he tagged along.. he would sit and talk clothing with the girls while we tore it up… his best trick was a rock-n-roll… He couldn’t even ollie … I bet he still can’t…. Me and Jeff Wylde both got sponsored, Jeff by circle A and me by Downhill Skates.. He rode along cause we were good and it made him feel cool… and some things never change.
